The Idaho Transportation Department has prepared corridor plans for every major roadway in north-central Idaho (District 2). These corridors are critical routes for local communities and the North-central region.

ITD has worked closely with the public to identify issues, concerns and important projects for each corridor. The finished plans include recommendations for the next 10 years.

Local partnerships and public involvement will help make the plans successful. In 2010, ITD received over 175 responses to written surveys and spoke with nearly 200 people at public meetings around the region.

ITD will continue coordinating with agencies, local jurisdictions and residents through the Statewide Transportation Improvement Plan (STIP) process. The STIP identifies which projects will be carried out over a five-year period based on limited competitive funding.
