Section 5303 Consolidated Planning Grant
The Consolidated Planning Grant consolidates the two grants into one agreement in which Federal Highways Administration and Federal Transit Administrations are combined to reduce the administration burden to states and MPOs who are recipients of both federal programs. Though the description and purposes of the programs do not change, a combined matching rate of 93.7% federal and 6.3% local matching funds is used instead of the 80/20 FTA and 95% FHWA rates used if awarded to states separately.
