The Economic Impact of Airports in Idaho

In 1998 the Idaho Transportation Department's Division of Aeronautics undertook a comprehensive evaluation of Idaho's public-use airport system. 

This evaluation was designed to insure that Idaho would have an airport system to meet not only the State's transportation requirements, but also a system that supports economic growth and diversification.

A separate analysis was undertaken to show how Idaho's system of public-use airports serves as an economic engine to communities throughout the State.

This report summarizes the various economic and other benefits that were found to be associated with airports throughout Idaho.
