Abstract:: ITD_BaseMapRds is the result of merging two datasets, the official State Highway System (US Highways, State Highways, Interstate Highways, Rest Areas/POEs) and Non-State Highway System roads that are Functionally Classified - (Minor Collectors, Major Collectors, Minor Arterials, Principal Arterials). In some areas, additional County Roads are included.
Purpose:: State Road system base data. For use in ITD's GIS to analyze roadways and to produce maps.

Completeness_Report:

State Highway System 100%. Functionally classed roads are near 100% complete but have had less QC done than the Highway system. It is estimated that 20% of the County roads in the state are accounted for. There is a lag time between the date a roadway is changed (realigned, recontructed or new construction) and the subsequent update and release of the spatial data.
