2007 Pavement Management Reports
Pavement Management System Study (SYSTDY) ReportsThe Pavement Management System Study Reports consist of a section by section display of pavement-related data. The information includes a pavement condition rating as well as measurements of the road's roughness and friction. While the reports are mainly meant for internal ITD use, the public may benefit as well. The pages are sorted by state highway route number and mileposts. It is recommended that one uses their browser's searching functions to isolate the section of interest. An asterisk (*) next to the year indicates that the section had undergone a change in its beginning and/or ending mileposts. This report is useful for showing what the long term impact of pavement projects are in terms of pavement index ratings. The 2007 Pavement Deficiencies & Highway Programming Projects Report Adobe PDF Highway Needs ReportThe Highway Needs Report isolates each piece of the state highway system to report on various data pertaining to the road and its environment. Besides reporting on the existing condition of the road, the report also displays rehabilitation and reconstruction project recommendations generated by the Highway Economic Requirements System – State Version (HERS-ST). HERS-ST is a federally maintained computer model run with data taken from ITD’s mainframe and executed in the PC environment. Also displayed in the report is information relating to the condition and needs of at-grade railroad crossings that affect state highways. There is also bridge needs and condition information shown along the state highway system. Finally, the report contains information pertaining to congestion levels. The report contains a series of maps, with associated information pages containing any projects. The maps show roads that have recommended improvements within the next twelve years (in red), roads that do not have improvements recommended in the next ten years (in yellow), select bridge information is also displayed.
