Project Description

For more than 100 years, a bridge has spanned the Snake River in Weiser. The original bridge was built in 1903. An additional span was added in 1911, and traffic signals came in 1949. In the 1950s, the bridge was replaced. Now it is happening again - soon a brand new structure will connect Annex, Oregon to Weiser.

Once completed, the bridge new bridge in Washington County will be 16 feet wider and able to carry greater traffic volumes. New curb, gutter and sidewalks also are being reconstructed on the Idaho side of the bridge.

Sletten Construction of Boise is the contractor on this $10 million project.

Planned Construction Schedule

Construction on the project began in March 2008 and is expected to be completed in December 2009.
