Timber Way to Big Wood River Bridge
Project: Timber Way to Big Wood River Bridge
Project No.: STP-2390(138)
Key No.: 07836
The Timber Way to Big Wood River Bridge was the first phase of the Timmerman to Ketchum Corridor to be designed and constructed as directed in the Final Environmental Impact Statement. The project limits begin where Timber Way intersects with Idaho 75 (approximately .25 mile north of East Fork Road) and terminates 600 feet south of the Big Wood River Bridge near Hospital Drive.
The design elements of the Timber Way to Big Wood River Bridge project are based on the Idaho 75 EIS concept plans and set the standard for all following projects. Construction of the project started in May of 2013 with work concluding in late 2014. The project significantly improved traffic conditions in this section of roadway with the construction of two lanes in each direction, additional turn bays, deceleration lanes, and widened shoulders. Improved roadway drainage, a new traffic signal at Hospital Drive, and utility relocations/additions were also completed during the project.
