Background

Approximately 31 miles of major widening and realignment from McCammon to Fish Creek (west of Soda Springs) was carried through preliminary design, public hearing and environmental approval in 2003, in three development segments.

Schedule and Funding

Final design of Topaz Bridge was completed in January 2009. Construction began in May 2009. Estimated construction completion date is July 2012.

The design and construction of the U.S. 30 Topaz Bridge project was funded with Grant Anticipation Revenue Vehicle (GARVEE) bonds through the GARVEE Transportation Program.
