MP 363.3 to 365.2

This project consists of roadway improvements on U.S. 30 from Crystal Springs Road to Old Oregon Trail Road, which involves widening the roadway from two to four lanes and includes two new bridges over the Portneuf River. This project is part of a larger effort to improve U.S. 30 between McCammon and Soda Springs.

Background

Approximately 31 miles of major widening and realignment from McCammon to Fish Creek (west of Soda Springs) was carried through preliminary design, public hearing and environmental approval in 2003.

Schedule and Funding

Final design for this project was completed in August 2008. Construction began in May 2009 and is anticipated for completion in July 2012.

The U.S. 30 Portneuf River Bridges project is funded through the GARVEE Transportation program, which uses Grant Anticipation Revenue Vehicle (GARVEE) bonds to expedite highway construction projects.
