The Idaho Coalition for Motorcycle Safety and the Office of Highway Safety are urging both drivers and riders to stay alert and prioritize safety, especially in light of a sharp increase in motorcycle crashes and fatalities in 2023. To promote awareness, a Motorcycle Awareness Rally will be held on May 3 at Sandy Point, followed by a ride to the Capitol and a community BBQ. Officials stress that with rising crash numbers and low helmet use among adults, increased vigilance and training can save lives.
