ITD is realigning the curve on SH-13 in Idaho County to minimize future accidents.


Overview

The scope of the SH-13 Curve Improvement in Idaho County is to realign the current roadway curve from mileposts 23.34 to 23.74. The project will be accomplished by realigning the horizontal and vertical curves, widening the highway, and flattening the slopes of the existing curve to minimize future accidents within this section of highway. The results of the project will be safer curve to eliminate the frequency and severity of accidents in the region.

Construction Outlook

Construction is programmed to begin in 2029. Work is anticipated to take 2.5 months to complete, with one lane closed. Impacts could change once a contractor is hired, typically within one year of the start of construction.
