Idaho’s Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) is a multi-modal program that includes highways, bridges, public transportation, railroads, aviation, and nonmotorized transportation. Idaho’s state and local transportation systems are a network of cross-jurisdictional routes that require cooperation, coordination, and continuous planning to operate, maintain, and improve.
The STIP includes a financial plan and was developed in cooperation with the metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs) and local officials. It also discusses how projects contribute to meeting federal performance targets.
The STIP covers a seven year time span. The current approved plan covers Fiscal Year 2025-2031.
