Ten Mile Interchange (Exit 42) and Garrity Interchange (Exit 38) Repaving Update
Crews are repaving at the westbound off-ramp at the Ten Mile Interchange (Exit 42) and the westbound on-ramp at the Garrity Interchange (Exit 38).
What to expect:
Friday, Aug. 28 – Monday, Aug. 31:
Ten Mile Interchange (Exit 42)
- The westbound off-ramp will be closed.
- Motorists will be detoured to Meridian Road Interchange (Exit 44) in Meridian. See detour map.
Garrity Interchange (Exit 38)
- The westbound on-ramp will be closed.
- Motorists will be detoured to Franklin Blvd Interchange (Exit 36) in Nampa. See detour map.
This work will require a FULL WEEKEND CLOSURE. Ramps at both interchanges will close at 9 p.m. Friday (Aug. 28) and reopen at 5 a.m. Monday (Aug. 31).
Overview
The Idaho Transportation Department will begin repaving multiple on- and off-ramps along I-84 and I-184 in the Treasure Valley.
Repaving is an extensive process that involves removing the old roadway and placing new pavement. This process addresses flaws in the roadways and restores the surface of the ramps.
ITD will pave ramps at the following interchanges:
- Franklin Road Interchange (Exit 1A) in Boise
- Eagle Road Interchange (Exit 46) in Meridian
- Ten Mile Interchange (Exit 42) in Meridian
- Garrity Interchange (Exit 38) in Nampa
Anticipated Traffic Impacts
Here’s what to expect:
- Work will begin the week of July 13 and is anticipated to be complete by mid-September.
- Most work will take place at night between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
- Only one ramp will be closed at a time.
- Traffic will be detoured.
