The Idaho Transportation Department is resurfacing the intersection of Kimberly Road and Hankins Road from 10 p.m. Aug. 31. through 10 a.m. Sep. 2.

Hankins Road will be closed between Addison Ave and 3700 N to through traffic for roughly 48 hours while the work is underway. Motorists will be detoured to Blue Lakes Boulevard or N 3300 E. No left turns into or from Hankins Road will be allowed until the project is complete.

“Doing this work continuously and at night is the best way to lessen the impact to the public,” Foreman Chuck Sharp said. “Other construction on Kimberly Road is underway west of this intersection for repaving and traffic signal upgrades, so we want to get this done as quickly as possible so we don’t further impact traffic.” This project is not connected to the other construction on Kimberly Road.

Drivers should expect changes in accesses to businesses and plan for delays while paving is underway.
