The Idaho Transportation Department will shift southbound Lincoln Avenue traffic onto the new bridge on the west side of the I-84 South Jerome Interchange Monday evening.

Motorists can expect:

  • Southbound Lincoln Avenue traffic will shift onto the new bridge late Monday night.
  • Northbound Lincoln Avenue traffic will continue to use the northbound bridge on the east side of the interchange.
  • One lane will remain open in each direction on Lincoln Avenue.
  • Southbound traffic may intermittently shift back to the northbound bridge to improve safety during construction activities.
  • Traffic signals will not be turned on until later this fall.

Work on the I-84 South Jerome Interchange project began in 2024 and is expected to be complete in November. The new divided diamond/couplet interchange design will improve safety, increase traffic flow and improve pedestrian connectivity to serve the growing needs of south-central Idaho for years to come. As construction continues, motorists are encouraged to leave early, slow down and pay attention to work zone signage. Visit 511.idaho.gov to plan your route in advance.
