The governor appoints the board members, who are confirmed by the Idaho Senate. Six members represent each of ITD’s administrative districts and the seventh member is selected by the governor to serve as chairman.

To make decisions that meet the needs of Idahoans, the Transportation Board values the expertise and guidance of Advisory Boards.
Annually, the Idaho Transportation Board meets once in each of the six transportation districts throughout Idaho and six times in Boise.
