The Idaho DMV is expanding convenient customer service options in order to help customers Skip the Trip statewide with the rollout of new self-service kiosks. These self-service kiosks allow quick and secure vehicle registration renewals at local grocery stores. The first self-service kiosks will debut over the next several weeks as part of a phased launch across Idaho.
These machines provide customers with a quick and easy experience for select transactions, specifically vehicle registration renewals. At launch, customers can renew their standard vehicle registration. Updates to personal or vehicle information are not yet included.
Soft Launch Locations:
These five sites will be the first to bring self-service kiosk services to the Treasure Valley and will be located inside Albertsons and Fred Meyer stores:
- Albertsons – 3614 West State Street, Boise
- Fred Meyer – 3527 S. Federal Way, Boise
- Fred Meyer – 1850 E. Fairview Ave, Meridian
- Fred Meyer – 5230 W. Franklin St, Boise
- Fred Meyer – 1400 W. Chinden Blvd, Meridian
Expansion:
Within a month of the first five self-service kiosks, four more will come online across the state:
- Albertsons – 2400 12th Avenue Rd, Nampa
- Fred Meyer – 1555 Northgate Mile, Idaho Falls
- Fred Meyer – 800 Yellowstone Ave, Pocatello
- Smith’s – 1913 Addison Ave E, Twin Falls
An additional self-service kiosk is planned for the Coeur d’Alene area, with the final location to be announced soon.
The self-service kiosk program is part of the DMV’s ongoing effort to modernize customer service and expand access to quick, easy, and flexible renewal options. More locations and features are planned as the rollout continues.
A vendor service charge will apply for use of the kiosk as well as a standard credit card fee.
