ITD’s maintenance equipment team put up another strong showing at the national roadeo competition in Colorado, winning the team title as Top Agency for the fourth straight year and fifth time in six years. The lone exception during that span was in 2022, when the ITD team finished second to another team from Idaho — Ada County Highway District. This year’s contingent from ITD consisted of the top four finishers at the state truck roadeo – Jed Gregerson (D5 in Southeast Idaho), Dustin Chase (D1 in North Idaho), Kyler Fullmer (D6 in Eastern Idaho) and Tyler Shelton (D3 in Southwest Idaho).

“The competition is no easy task at this level,” said ITD Roadeo Coordinator Alan Huey. “Teamwork was definitely pivotal in achieving this year’s accomplishments on a national scale.”

“Winning First Place Agency Overall Award once again demonstrates the value ITD places on teamwork and collaboration.”

These accomplishments translate into better road-clearing skills for ITD’s forces out on the roads each winter serving our citizens.
