ITD is seeking public comment on project design for SH-55 between Pear Lane and Farmway.

The Idaho Transportation Department will host a public meeting Wednesday, March 11, to share design plans and gather input on proposed improvements to State Highway 55 between Pear Lane and Farmway Road in Canyon County.

Meeting details:

  • Date: Wednesday, March 11
  • Time: 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. (drop in any time)
  • Location: Vallivue Middle School (16412 S. 10th Ave., Caldwell, ID 83607)

ITD is refining plans to improve safety and traffic flow along this section of SH-55 in Nampa. Canyon County has grown by 22% over the last decade, and traffic volumes in the project area are projected to double by 2045. The current crash rate is 11 times higher than comparable highways across the state.

Community members may stop by at any time during the open house to review project information, speak with the project team and provide feedback. Those who cannot attend the meeting in person will be able to review materials and submit comments online at the project website from March 11-25.
