Thanks for visiting the new and improved Idaho Transportation Department website. This redesign project has been in the works for a couple years and we are proud to finally share it with you.
The last time ITD updated the look and feel of its website was in 2016, so it was due for a change. The new site is accessible, mobile-friendly, and modern. Our goal was to implement current web design best practices and make it easier for you to find what you need. It’s a big change from the previous site, so here are some tips for how to get around.
Menus
There are two sets of drop-down menus at the top of the screen. The primary menu is divided by topic, while the smaller menu gives quick access to popular actions like renewing a driver’s license or submitting a job application.

In mobile view they collapse into one menu, accessible via the blue menu button in the top right corner.

Homepage
The homepage features a tabbed section for various customers and transportation types. Further down the page are links to featured construction projects, news and events.

Projects
ITD construction projects are now integrated into the main ITD site. Previously they were on a separate website. You can access the projects from the “Travel & Highways” section of the menu, or by scrolling down the homepage. Projects can be sorted by region, route, nearby cities, project phase and more.

Calendar
We now have an online calendar for ITD events like project open houses, and Idaho Transportation Board meetings. You can access the calendar from the “About” section of the menu, or by scrolling down the homepage.

For old time’s sake, here is a reminder of what the old ITD website looked like.
