The Idaho Transportation Department will begin repaving multiple on- and off-ramps along I-84 and I-184 in the Treasure Valley. Paving will improve safety and extend the service life of the ramps.


Garrity Interchange Repaving Update

Crews are repaving the eastbound off-ramp at the Garrity Interchange (Exit 38) in Nampa starting Friday, August 7.

 

The eastbound off-ramp will close on Friday, Aug. 7 at 9 p.m. and reopen Monday, Aug. 10 at 5 a.m.

  • Motorists will be detoured to the Franklin Boulevard Interchange (Exit 36) in Nampa. See the detour map.

Overview

The Idaho Transportation Department will begin repaving multiple on- and off-ramps along I-84 and I-184 in the Treasure Valley.

Repaving is an extensive process that involves removing the old roadway and placing new pavement. This process addresses flaws in the roadways and restores the surface of the ramps.

ITD will pave ramps at the following interchanges:

  • Franklin Road Interchange (Exit 1A) in Boise
  • Eagle Road Interchange (Exit 46) in Meridian
  • Ten Mile Interchange (Exit 42) in Meridian
  • Garrity Interchange (Exit 38) in Nampa

Anticipated Traffic Impacts

Here’s what to expect:

  • Work will begin the week of July 13 and is anticipated to be complete by mid-September.
  • Most work will take place at night between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
  • Only one ramp will be closed at a time.
  • Traffic will be detoured.
  • Some weekend closures will be necessary. Stay tuned for more details.
