UPDATE: The westbound on-ramp at the Garrity Interchange (Exit 38) will be closed on Thursday, Oct. 8 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
ITD is repaving the roadway at the Garrity Interchange (Exit 38)!
Here’s what to expect Friday, Oct. 2 – Sunday, Oct. 11:
- One lane of traffic in each direction will remain open at all times.
- Access to the interchange ramps may be affected. Flaggers will direct traffic.
- Work will occur weeknights between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
- Weekend times will vary:
- Friday night 9 p.m. – 8 a.m.
- Saturday night 9 p.m. – 9 a.m.
- Sunday night 9 p.m. – 5 a.m.
Overview
The Idaho Transportation Department will begin repaving multiple on- and off-ramps along I-84 and I-184 in the Treasure Valley.
Repaving is an extensive process that involves removing the old roadway and placing new pavement. This process addresses flaws in the roadways and restores the surface of the ramps.
ITD will pave ramps at the following interchanges:
- Franklin Road Interchange (Exit 1A) in Boise
- Eagle Road Interchange (Exit 46) in Meridian
- Ten Mile Interchange (Exit 42) in Meridian
- Garrity Interchange (Exit 38) in Nampa
Anticipated Traffic Impacts
Here’s what to expect:
- Work will begin the week of July 13 and is anticipated to be complete by mid-September.
- Most work will take place at night between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
- Only one ramp will be closed at a time.
- Traffic will be detoured.
