Ten Mile Interchange (Exit 42) and Garrity Interchange (Exit 38) Repaving Update
Crews are repaving at the eastbound on-ramp at the Garrity Interchange (Exit 38) and the southbound roadway at the Ten Mile Interchange (Exit 42).
What to expect:
- The eastbound on-ramp will be at the Garrity Interchange (Exit 38) will CLOSE at 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 21 and REOPEN at 5 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 24.
- Motorists will be detoured to Franklin Boulevard Interchange (Exit 36) in Nampa. See the detour map.
- The westbound on-ramp at Ten Mile Interchange (Exit 42) and southbound lanes on Ten Mile Road will be closed TONIGHT from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. See the detour map.
Overview
The Idaho Transportation Department will begin repaving multiple on- and off-ramps along I-84 and I-184 in the Treasure Valley.
Repaving is an extensive process that involves removing the old roadway and placing new pavement. This process addresses flaws in the roadways and restores the surface of the ramps.
ITD will pave ramps at the following interchanges:
- Franklin Road Interchange (Exit 1A) in Boise
- Eagle Road Interchange (Exit 46) in Meridian
- Ten Mile Interchange (Exit 42) in Meridian
- Garrity Interchange (Exit 38) in Nampa
Anticipated Traffic Impacts
Here’s what to expect:
- Work will begin the week of July 13 and is anticipated to be complete by mid-September.
- Most work will take place at night between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
- Only one ramp will be closed at a time.
- Traffic will be detoured.
