COMPLETE: SH-55 Rainbow Bridge Maintenance

Completed repairs will keep the bridge operating safely until it is replaced.

Overview

The work is necessary to keep the bridge safe for all traffic. It will eliminate the need to implement load restrictions that could impact service vehicles, delivery vehicles, and cattle trucks using SH-55.

Maintenance will allow the Rainbow Bridge to serve the community until a new bridge is constructed in 2029. Work will include:

  • Repairing reinforced concrete bridge elements.
  • Replacing expansion joints.
  • Repairing deck surface.
