Overview
The 1958 Quartz Creek bridge near Jaype on State Highway 11 requires replacement in order to ensure safe travel along this route for years to come.
Construction
The current driving surface of SH-11 Quartz Creek Bridge will be removed using a diamond grinder. The girders that support weight and are not usually visible will then be removed and new girders set using specialized heavy equipment. High performance concrete and concrete barriers will then be placed. All these steps will ensure that this bridge can serve motorists through the future.

Traffic Impacts
Traffic will be moved on to a temporary bridge while the older bridge is replaced. In addition, there will be curve straightening for improved geometry when approaching the new bridge. Construction will conclude in the fall of 2026.
