Overview
Construction is anticipated to begin on State Highway 14 after Elk City Days and continue through September. The project will improve pavement conditions west of Elk City by milling and inlaying the roadway surface.
Milling and inlaying removes worn pavement and replaces it with new asphalt, creating a smoother driving surface and helping preserve the corridor for long-term travel.

Schedule
Construction is anticipated to begin after Elk City Days in mid-August and continue through September. Project schedules are subject to change based on weather, construction conditions and contractor availability. Work will begin near milepost 45.5 and continue east to milepost 45.5 towards Elk City. Crews will then move to a second section between mileposts 43 and approximately 42 as project funding allows.
