SH-55, State Street to Horseshoe Bend Rehabilitation

Construction will resurface SH-555 from State Street to Horseshoe Bend.

The contractor will be back spring of 2025 to paint the bridge with anti-graffiti paint.

Overview

ITD extended the SH-44 to Payette River Bridge project to rehabilitate State Highway 55 through Horseshoe Bend. While this section of highway was not in the original scope of the project, the Central Paving, the project contractor, was able to add this section in as a result of the accelerated schedule and progress. Construction is largely complete, save for painting the bridge.

  • Milling and roadway resurfacing the roadway for a smoother driving experience.
  • American with Disabilities (ADA) improvements at the southeast corner of Hill Road and Floating Feather Road.
  • Safety improvements included replacing guardrail as needed.
  • A concrete bridge was installed at the north end of the Avimor development for vehicle and pedestrian traffic under SH-55.
