Overview
In 2018, Idaho Transportation Department completed a traffic study of the US-30 Yellowstone Avenue to Garrett Way corridor to analyze safety issues, traffic, geometrics, and community needs. In 2023, ITD moved forward with preliminary design of the identified corridor improvements.

What improvements are being proposed?
• Intersection operation and safety at Yellowstone Ave, McKinley Ave, and Garrett Way
• Additional lane along US-30 (Gould St) to improve signal operations and mobility through the corridor
• Safety of accesses
• Corridor-wide pedestrian facilities
• Stormwater collection
• Corridor-wide Landscaping
Where are we in the process?
With preliminary design under way, the project team is conducting additional environmental scans and data gathering. The project team will also re-engage the public with additional outreach including public meetings, in-person meetings and online engagement.
The project is funded by state and federal funds and is being administered by ITD District 5.

Timeline
The project TIMELINE will begin . . . in 2026 with the proposed construction completion date in 2028–2029.
