Next steps

ITD will receive environmental approval for the I-84, SH-44 to Centennial Way project in 2026.  Right now, there is no funding to design or build the planned widening of I-84 between SH-44 and Centennial Way.

However, ITD does have funding to design improvements for the SH-44 Interchange.  Design started in 2025 and is expected to be complete in 2026.

Join ITD at our public meeting to see the latest SH-44 Interchange proposed improvements on Wednesday, February 18. If you can’t attend in person, check back on February 18 to join us online.
