Replacing the East Kooskia Bridge over the Clearwater River on SH-13 will allow it to continue to operate safely for years to come.

Overview

This Clearwater River crossing will be entirely replaced with a structure that can better serve the north central Idaho region.

Background and Future Outlook

This crossing was built in 1935 and is currently posted as a one-lane structure for trucks and buses. The current bridge will be replaced with one that meets current design standards.

Construction is anticipated as early as 2027.
