This project will widen the paved roadway, install shoulder barrier and make safer geometric improvements to the roadway.

Overview

This project will improve U.S. Highway 12 between milepost 69 and 74. Features include:

  • roadway widening
  • construction of a full-width overlay
  • guardrail installation
  • upgrades to signs, delineation, and pipe culverts
  • minor approach reconstruction
  • soft spot repairs.

The result of this project will be a wider roadway on US-12 that will provide the public with safer and more comfortable passage through this section of north central Idaho. Construction is programmed to begin in 2031.
