US-12: Valley View Drive to Kooskia Widening

This project will widen the paved roadway, install shoulder barrier and make safer geometric improvements to the roadway.

This project was previously funded for construction in 2032. As a result of recent changes in transportation funding, this project is recommended to have its funding removed to prioritize other projects necessary to the operation and preservation of the transportation network.

Overview

This project will improve U.S. Highway 12 between milepost 69 and 74. Features include:
  • roadway widening
  • construction of a full-width overlay
  • guardrail installation
  • upgrades to signs, delineation, and pipe culverts
  • minor approach reconstruction
  • soft spot repairs.
The result of this project will be a wider roadway on US-12 that will provide the public with safer and more comfortable passage through this section in North–Central Idaho.
