The Idaho Transportation Department will continue repairs next week on Idaho Highway 75 in Blaine County. Work will occur on two stretches of roadway between River Street and Weyyakin Drive in Ketchum. Additional work will also take place near Hailey.
Weather permitting, crews are anticipated to complete work within two weeks.
“Our goal is to complete repairs before temperatures drop below 30 degrees,” said ITD area foreman Brad Lynch. “The type of work completed in the coming days will be dependent on how much moisture is in the air.
Some areas will require a detour while work is being performed. Traffic control crews may also be utilized on various stretches of roadway. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and follow signs which will be in place to safely direct drivers through the area.
Repairs are expected to take place between 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Lane restrictions on the Perrine Bridge are expected to continue through the end of next week, and intermittently through October as crews conduct inspections and maintenance.
Crane operations will require alternating lane closures across the bridge beginning Tuesday, Sept. 24. Motorists are encouraged to slow down and follow signs in the work zone. No full closures are anticipated.
Motorists are encouraged to check the 511 traveler info website at 511.idaho.gov for status updates, as well as conditions and delays.
Due to inclement weather, the traffic detour planned for Wednesday of this week has been rescheduled for the early morning hours of Thursday, September 12. This detour will affect motorists heading eastbound on Interstate 84 from Burley toward Pocatello. During this time, crews will work to place concrete on the deck of the newly constructed steel girder bridge.
Weather permitting, this temporary traffic pattern is expected to be in effect between the hours of 2 a.m. and 7 a.m.
This is part of the Salt Lake Interchange replacement project, underway since May of last year. Construction is scheduled to finish by late 2020.
Drivers should still anticipate reduced speeds through the work zone and pay close attention to signage which will be in place to safely direct motorists through the area.
Wadsworth Brothers Construction, of Draper, Utah is the prime contractor on this project.
Work is expected to occur this Wednesday, Sept. 11 on the Interstate 84 eastbound 216 on-ramp near Declo. The Idaho Transportation Department will mill off the existing pavement and inlay the area with new asphalt to improve the overall condition of the roadway.
The eastbound 216 interchange on-ramp will be closed while this work takes place. Motorists will need to utilize on-ramp 208 or 211 for eastbound I-84 access near Declo.
Repairs are anticipated to take place between 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and be complete within a day.
Work is expected to occur Thursday, Sept. 5 on the Interstate 84 westbound Exit 208 off-ramp near Burley. The Idaho Transportation Department will mill off the existing pavement and inlay the area with new asphalt to improve the overall condition of the roadway.
The Exit 208 westbound off-ramp will be closed while this work takes place, so motorists will need to utilize Exit 211 or Exit 216 for access to Burley.
Repairs are anticipated to take place between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and be complete within a day.
Drivers can expect lane restrictions and possible delays near Twin Falls next week as crews from the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) place platforms underneath the Perrine Bridge for upcoming special inspections.
On Sunday, August 18 it’s anticipated that crews will utilize ITD’s under bridge inspection truck along the bridge deck. Southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane while the truck is in use.
Work is scheduled to occur on Sunday to help lessen traffic congestion through the area. Motorists may consider using an alternate route between the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Drivers are urged to exercise caution near the work zone and watch for crew members and equipment. ITD appreciates the patience and cooperation of those driving through the area.

Weather permitting, crews are anticipated to complete work by the end of August.
“We are working to fix areas of the highway which saw substantial damage over the lengthy winter months, including the corner of Elkhorn Road in Ketchum,” said ITD area foreman Brad Lynch. “This should improve the driving experience for motorists throughout the Wood River Valley.”

Repairs are expected to take place between 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Work will not be performed over Labor Day weekend.
The Idaho Transportation Department is expected to begin repairs next Wednesday (July 31) on Interstate 84 east of Jerome to improve roadway conditions for motorists. Work will occur between milepost 166 and 174 on both eastbound and westbound lanes.
While crews are onsite, directional traffic will be reduced to one lane.
Repairs are anticipated to take place between 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Drivers should exercise caution and watch for crews on the following days:
– Wednesday & Thursday (July 31 – August 1)
– Monday & Tuesday (August 5 – August 6)
From Monday, July 29 through Friday, August 2 crews will walk the arch of the Perrine Bridge as part of a routine inspection. An unmanned aerial vehicle (commonly known as a drone or UAV) will also be deployed to examine the structure.
This will be the first time the Idaho Transportation Department has employed a drone for this type of bridge inspection. Close monitoring will be done throughout the process to determine whether efficiencies can be gained through UAV use which could benefit further bridge assessments throughout the state.
Base jumping may be subject to short restrictions during portions of the examination. ITD will provide personnel stationed on the bridge to coordinate with inspection crews and jumpers during regulated periods.
Weather permitting, inspection will occur from approximately 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
